This was my first time really being able to try and photograph elephants. Annoyingly, the fence consisted of three wires that were positioned at the worst possible heights for me and my camera. xD But I quite liked this. The contrast between the top of the trunk and the shadow was ridiculous, so I had to do a bit of editing to even it out somewhat. I don't know how well it really worked, but it's better than it was. Silly sunny days.
Anyway. I'd like to try photographing elepehants in a more accomodating location one day. (=
Photographing elephants is pretty fun. Especially when you get some up close shots. Their eyes are pretty amazing, along with all the texture of their skin.

Yeah. I've always wanted to photograph them, but everywhere I've been either has no elephants, or the elephants are too far away to take pictures without a 1000mm lens.
I'll find somewhere that's more camera-friendly one day.
Thanks for the .

Yeah, they're pretty big animals that would like a lot of space, but they're not expensive to feed, carnivores are far more expensive O_o If you happen to stop by, The Oregon Zoo facility has a pretty good place for them. Same thing with the Columbus zoo. I go to the Oregon zoo and have gotten quite a few pictures without having to get a lens that's more than 300mm. Oo Though having a longer one would be pretty cool.
